Warm Fuzzy Run!

Crisp morning air.  Rhythmic foot falls.  Alone time.  Good tunes.

Yeah...I had a good morning run.

Not much of that has been going on in the last 9 months.  I have really missed it.

I was determined to get out today, back/hip injury or not.  And so I did.

As my mind cleared from "the morning fog", and wandered past "Why do I do this?", it habitually settled on things of a spiritual nature (oh how I've missed my morning run).

I was filled with a reminder of my many blessings.

To name a few...

A husband, who selflessly gives up his morning off to make breakfast and get the kids ready for school, so I could get out and do something for myself.

A body which, despite frustration over above mentioned injury, and an even deeper frustration over an extra 10 lbs, has the ability to get me where I want to go and is strong enough to endure a 5 mile run at the drop of a hat.

A mind and spirit filled with a determination to keep pushing and not give up.

Family and close friends who love me, support me, and pray for me.

And you guys.

After my last post I received an outpouring of love, HOPE, and encouragement from many of you.  Every comment and e-mail  (I'm sorry I have not been very good about writing back), every kind word has lifted me up and given me the strength to keep going.  Thank you.

These thoughts filled me with all sorts of warm fuzzies as I continued on my run.

Thank you for being a part of my life.

I am truly blessed.

Love,

Melanie, thanks for your sweet comment on my blog! I worked hard on that little story so do appreciate the feedback. I hope your back is ok. That is something ive struggled with for two months and kept me from running too.

Wonderful post! Glad you've started running! Sounds like it's just what you need right now. I've been thinking about starting up again for a while--my extra 10 lbs is perfect motivation.

And a husband who made breakfast and got kids ready for school--awesome!

Enjoy your weekend!

I'm so glad you had a run today! It sounds like the perfect exercise and "meditation" for you. I used to run, and it made me feel so good. I want to start again.

Thank you for your support of my blog. You are a giving person, and I appreciate it!

Hi! Thanks for visiting my blog last Friday. I like yours and so I'm your newest follower. I can relate to some of the things you write about on here. I'm LDS too. :)
Good for you to take up running! I'm going to start exercising again today actually after over a year off from it. Time to get my butt in gear!
Anyway, thanks for visiting, and I'll be back!

I stumbled across your blog, and I am so happy I did! I found out I have the C667T heterozygous MTHFR (my sister has the A one). It would be great if I my problems with depression, fatigue, anxiety, muscle pain, etc, were related to this and could be "fixed". I am willing to give it a try. I have been on Paxil for years, and finally tried to wean off of it. The withdrawal symptoms after I was completely off were too much too live with. So back on them I went. Sometimes I wonder if the Paxil is contributing to my feelings of "lack of motivation". Making me too much of a blob.... I do not have kids, so there is no reason I should always be worn out. Anyways, thanks a bunch for your blog!!!!! P.S....its amazing how many doctors have never heard of this! I really wish it was more well known! I am an RN, and I have only seen one doctor address this diagnosis on a patient's chart!
